THERE ARE ONLY TWO TYPES OF SHIPS SUBMARINES AND TARGETS
The picture at the right is me as a steam seaman
I GUESS THE PICTURE IS A LITTLE OLD (47 YEARS) The submarine is the USS Tirante SS 420 that was homeported in Key West FL. I was stationed on it from 1959 to 61. This is the submarine that I qualified on. The Commanding Officer was D. F. Purinton.

I went onboard Tirante SS420 as a TM 3 and left TM 2(SS).

The picture of the after Torpedo room was sent to me my Dustin Darnell who worked for me on Tirante in the after room. The Sam Tirante patch was send to me by J. Donahue a retired policeman from NJ, who now lives in Texas The picture of Tirante is from Tim Spoon.

Thanks All of you.
